We are delighted that our short dance film “Lucia Joyce: Full Capacity” is making its online premiere as part of the first ever online Bloomsday Festival, from June 11th to 16th.  The film stars Evanna Lynch (best known as Luna Lovegood in Harry Potter), channeling Lucia Joyce as captured by photographer Berenice Abbott at the height of her dancing prowess in 1920s Paris.  Choreography is by Megan Kennedy of Junk Ensemble; Costume by Claire Garvey; Original score by Conor Linehan; Shot by Brian O’Leary; Edited by Aoife Carey; Stills photography by Mella Travers. Produced, directed, and concept by Deirdre Mulrooney.

The film premiered at Bloomsday Trieste 2019, followed by a special screening at Museum of Literature of Ireland; Kerry International Film Festival; and Richard Harris International Film Festival, where Evanna Lynch was nominated for best actor in a female role.
